James T. “Tim” Cole is a retired military officer, leader, team-builder, and passionate advocate for our nation’s military, veterans, and their families. His purpose is to help families of military veterans honor their military heritage.
Tim served over 31 years with the United States Marine Corps and USMC Reserve, retiring at the rank of Colonel in May 2013. Following the 9/11 attacks against our nation, he served over seven (7) years in active duty assignments, both here at home and deployed overseas earning numerous military awards.
Prior to 9/11, Tim worked in Aviation Manufacturing with Lockheed Martin and Bell Helicopter. He recently served as FEMA’s Private Sector Liaison to the citizens of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Tim is a graduate of Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa (BA in Business Administration) and the Marine Corps’ Command & Staff College. He holds 23 years business experience in purchasing, contracting, supply chain and program management, and has honed expertise building collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups. He serves as board Vice Chairmen with Quest of the Keys, non-profit organization focused on character development in middle school and high school students.
Tim’s wife Mary Anne is a retired Texas educator. They are proud parents of 5 adult children, including 2 teachers & 2 members of the military, and are now blessed with 3 amazing grandchildren.
